flickering/ temporary on has stopped. it's now dead. sent email to BMW USA asking about potentially starting the buy back process. I really do love driving this car. I had a lot of fun last night on the empty roads before I got home and noticed the dead taillight. It's sad because it's just getting to be so hard to deal with this thing. It's so annoying to have your car back for about 1.5 weeks and then notice you have to go back.

she went in this morning. took over an hour to get out of there with a loaner car. got a call from the SA- of course they cant replicate the brake squeal. go figure it was ridiculously loud last night and then gone today. hopefully they at least get my new taillight. what's really annoying is that I know as soon as I get it back the center taillight will crack again or something else will happen! ugh

car is back, thank god they had the taillight in stock and got it replaced. they still couldn't replicate the brake squeal which is super annoying because on sunday night it was going crazy. As I left the dealer I told the SA and the loaner car folks that if the pattern holds I will see them in two weeks!

so I am ready to explode. yesterday the sunroof started making noise when opening/closing (just on the tilting) and then today I realize that the little cap for the OBC port was not put back on when the dealer worked on it. UGH

took car in yesterday for sunroof noise. they said they couldn't replicate it until they let it sit in the sun like I told them to. it warmed up, they heard it, they said it was minor, but because they want me to be 100% happy with the car they are replacing the sunroof track or something like that that's huge and cannot be shipped overnight, so the car is out of service until saturday afternoon at the earliest. I told him, 100% happy, that ship has already sailed.

BMW NA finally called 2 weeks ago and said they'd give me compensation. So I locked in the feb lease rates on an 09 demo 328i coupe, and for whatever reason, BMW seems to be dragging their feet.

I don't want to wait on the demo as it is a great deal. ugggggghhhh this is so annoying.

Wow that's quite a long list of issues! So did I read that right that you're getting an 09 328i loaner as your car? I don't think you'll like that much after having the 135i, be careful what you wish for!

I totally agree that you should get a different car though, I would stick with x35i

not a loaner car, a factory demo, meaning some exec or dealer head drove it for all of the 3600 miles on it. I know it's quite a bit different. I don't have it yet. BMW is still deciding/calculating/ whatever it is they're doing. the regional rep has to make the decision according to the girl at BMW NA. I had the 325ci before the 135i and I know they aren't as powerful but I have a very strong feeling that the 3 coupes are far more solid than the 1 in terms of build quality. I love the x35i engine but it has it's own issues and I really doubt I'd get another 1 series. And the 335d is just a little too expensive or I'd go for that as I loved it on the test drive.

My biggest concern now is that the february lease rate that I locked on March 1 will or has expired. I know with new cars if you submit your credit then you have a 90 day lock, but the woman I am working with at the dealer, who is the fleet manager, isn't even sure on the demo cars. I hope it is still locked and BMW can work it out because it's a $48k sticker car they're selling to me for $35k, the lease would be $2000 drive off, $403.87 a month with tax for 36 mos, 12k miles a year. A new 2010 would be $200 more a month.

If it isn't still locked then I told BMW NA and the dealer that I am so angry that 'll just go get an Audi. Either A4 or A5. I'd prefer they work it all out soon, but if they dont I am so fed up that I'm done with the brand for at least a while. anyway, hope it gets resolved, end of rant.

haha, they have offered compensation. basically I can get a 2009 328i demo coupe with 3600 miles on it and loaded with everything but nav tomorrow. $0 out of my pocket on a 36 month lease with the payments being $403.87 a month, tax included. pretty darn cheap for a $48k sticker car. But I am thinking about using the compensation as a refundable deposit and ordering a car ED for august delivery because I can get a nice discount there too and can get the colors I want. If the 328i they had down there weren't a step, I wouldn't be having any trouble deciding...

Well BMW really stepped up in the end and extended the february lease rate on 09s to me and gave me compensation, not to mention the $19k off sticker I got on my new (demo) coupe.

here's the details

BMW said they would give compensation. So I locked a rate on a 2009 328i coupe- which was a good deal http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=370085

Well after arguing a bit more I finally got them to get BMW to extend the locked february rate to what will be my new 335i coupe. Here are the details on the car:

2009 335i coupe
Crimson red
cream beige
burl walnut
6MT
Sport package
premium package
cold weather package
navigation/iDrive
Comfort Access
Logic7
Satellite Radio
ipod/usb
PDC
HD radio
and here's where it gets really, really unnecessary
Active steering
Active cruise control

8570 miles

all told the sticker comes in at $56,895!!!

got her for $38000, basically $19k off. absolutely $0 out of pocket from me, 36 months, 12k/year and at a payment of $438/month tax included. not bad at all in my book.

these are some quick iphone pics
