Long-term maintainability of BMWs

I put down a deposit on a 2008 128i with 13k miles, Montego Blue and Taupe interior . Car is a CPO at a BMW dealer in New Hampshire. Found on Auto Trader. Flying up from NY to see it next week if it looks as good as its pictures I will be the proud owner of it.

JD Power doesn't get data from dealership or manufacturer databases. NO ONE has access to high level stastics like that except the manufacturers themselves, and they're not giving it away.

I think the DCT is only available on the 135i w/Sport package. At least for the current MY. But I would love to get back into a manual car some day. I guess a DCT is great if you're trying to set times at a track, or beat the kid in his slammed civic as effortlessly as possible, but there's something to be said for being actively engaged in making the car go.
