Another new 135i owner :)

Hi guys,

just want to say that I'm a happy new owner of a 2008 135i. I bought it from Weatherford BMW in Berkeley. It's Jet black/Coral. I believe it has the Sports and Premium packages. Also has the Navi and parking sensors.

Any other Bay Area members here? the California section seems pretty dead except for So. Cal. members.

nah, that one is about $5k more than what i got mine and it's a manual. I wanted a Step. because I dont think I can shift faster than this auto in a manual

Cool. How do I sign up? I'm still getting used to driving this car and seeing what it's limits are slowly. I may even come to just watch.

Sure. Come down and watch if you want. Most people would be happy to give you a ride as a passenger. You would just have to borrow a helmet (for free) from the trailer. One thing I like about a club autocross compared to, say an SCCA autocross, is that you can see cars like yours and see what people have done to them. As BMW nuts everyone is happy to talk to other BMW nuts about their cars.

Ooh wow. Thanks for the info. That would be dope to get to sit in someones car as they run the course. I've never done autoxing or circuit before but I will sometime in this car. I'll have to see if I can make those days in august though.

those pics actually show the coral red pretty accurately... in a deep red. many of the other pics i have seen seem to show it with a pink/orange hue that is not at all like the actual color.

Thanks. Yeah some of the pics I've seen on here of the coral seem glary. Not that there isn't glare in my pics. Those were just quick pics after a wash with an okay camera. I plan to take better ones soon.

Congrats. I'll be at next month's autox event at Great America as well. I say just sign up and run. It's a great way to get a good feel of your car and tons of fun. I went last year with absolutely no experience and the BMWCCA community is really friendly and helpful. There's no pressure to be some great driver there. You won't regret it.
