Yeah this is pretty BS...used a GPS, found out my speedometer is off by 3mph or (~5km/hr) faster.
As for if I can feel the difference between 84mph and 87 mph? Of course I can I always drive 14 km/hr (or ~9mph) above the speed limit so I don't get demerit points even if I get a ticket. You know something's wrong when you're driving "87mph" in a BMW and you have mini-vans tailing your ass vs. driving an Odyssey and no one tailing you. |

In 13 years of BMW ownership I've yet to have a moving violation and I wouldn't be surprised if this built in error has saved me a solid chunk of change over the years.
