Basically, since it's "illegal" BMW will not sell/install them. No matter what. They have to cover their butts, legally. The best you could hope for would be a dealer ordering the headlights. I wouldn't be surprised if a group buy formed on this site either. If that happens you can get the cheaper.
Also if you want a cheaper "solution" you can buy vinyl overlays for the amber corner and you can barely notice the orange at all.

You would not be able order those on the car. They are only there because of laws in NA (US and Canada). If not for these laws, we would get the same clear lights given to the rest of the world. You can order them but they are expensive...around $2000 or so I believe. Do a search as someone has already priced them. If you find a way around this, please share but I don't see it happening. You'd have to buy them afterwards...no way would they grant special reqests like that. Federal regulations say those orange markers have to be there for the car to be sold in North America. I bet the dealer would install them for you if you ask nicely.
Google Tischer BMW and bug them about getting a special going on them. They specialize in discounts on "fun parts" for enthusiasts. |
