New 2013 135i M Sport edition for Canada
Just signed on a 2013 BMW 135i M Sport Edition (Canada).
Basically, the M Sport Edition replaces the former M Sport Package. MSRP remains the same at $2,100 Can, but in includes more things compared to the previouos M Sport Package. This applies to all 135i coupe and convertible starting production on or after March 1st, 2013. Differences are: - Now comes with style 313 wheels (which are standard on US build 135is. The 135is is not available in Canada) - Black mirror caps - Tailpipes are now chrome instead of black chrome. - Car comes with High Gloss black kidney grills - Interior Trim only comes in Glacier Silver with this new M Sport Edition - Gearshift knob in leather Walknappa (manual only) - Gearshift lever cover in leather Walknappa - Stainless steel pedals (manual only) - Door sill finishers, chrome plated, "BMW Edition" designation - You also get blue stitching on seats and floor mats if you get the Black Boston Leather seating option. For the same price, I'm happy to get the pedals, black kidneys, and the 313 wheels! They look awesome. Now the wait time. Expecting delivery at the end of April 2013. My order: 2013 BMW 135i, Alpine White M Sport Edition Premium Package Sound Package Coral Red Boston Leather interior Alarm Keep in mind that canadian options/packages are different compared to US. Ours come standard with heated seats as an example. |

Congrats. Sounds virtually identical to a U.S. spec 135is, though not sure if that also includes the Power Performance Kit and Performance exhaust. And sounds like yours may be built alongside mine perhaps, so perhaps they'll see each other at the factor in a few days.
Can't wait to see pics of yours. |

So you also just placed an order?
Yes, it sounds just about the same as a US 135is. Mine won't come with the performance pack (the extra 20hp or so) since there is no mention of this whatsoever. I also don't think it comes with the performance exhaust. The bulletin I got only shows chromed exhaust tip, no mention about performance exhaust. I guess I will really find out on delivery. But since the price is the same as the previous MSport Package, I think the exhaust will be the original one, but with a different tip. I will post pics after delivery, which should be at the end of April/early May. |

Interesting. I almost wish that package were an option for us since I wanted most the cosmetic improvements of the package and wasn't looking for the performance upgrade.
I have a week 10 build, so guess that's next week. I keep calling the 1-800 number every morning and night to see if it will confirm a production date, but still just says it is scheduled for production with no confirmed production date. Waiting is the worst part. Worth it in the end though. |

I won't have any numbers before the next few days.
The production for the new package only starts in March. So, I suspect it will be another two weeks before I get a number to begin tracking. Who knows. I'll keep posting as I get news. |

These should help wet your appetite as you wait. Granted, the first one is a convertible they showed here at the LA Auto Show, but sure looks good in the alpine white.
Also, one of the members on here also posted a walk around video of his alpine white 135is, though it doesn't have the coral red. All about the 313 rims, the main reason I got the "is" model since the cost of the rims alone made it worth it had I bought those and put on a normal 135i. |

The 135i has been produced, railed to the Breemerhaven Port, loaded on the "Mignon" vessel. Currently docked at the Zeebrugge port loading some Volvos.
Next two days is the sail to Southampton, after which it will cross the Atlantic to reach Halifax on April 08 (my Port of discharge). Loving the Internet! |

Ain't the waiting the best part? It's torturous. A few of ours are heading across the Atlantic now, but takes 3 weeks to get from Europe to the Panama Canal, then up to the west coast to reach the port on April 17. They'll be here soooon!

Do you know when yours left the port of exit?
Also how accurate is the tracking site? Mine shows my car arriving in Halifax on the 17th but how do I track it from thereon in? |

Also JB007 haven't got a clear answer on this one yet - are our Canadian cars coming with the Performance Exhaust on them
I'm just wondering why they would change the tips to chrome if it wasn't... |

I don't think that ours come with the performance exhaust. I'm expecting a chrome tip. That's all what the technical bulletin is saying.
As for the front kidneys, I am expecting the same one as the IS model, all black except for the chrome outline. That means I will swap it anyway because I want it all black. I need to confirm with my dealer first. Let you know once I get a response. I was able to track my ship via this site: http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/ And was able to confirm that my ship had docked through this site: http://www.halifaxgetsitthere.com/en...us-report.aspx But since my car was delivered to Halifax, I can't track it. I have not found a way to track it through CN. |

Got some info:
Once our cars are in Halifax, they go through some technical inspection/customs, etc. Then, they are loaded on a CN train. The line goes from Halifx and has stops at the CN Autoport in Montreal, and then at the Toronto Autoport. So, for the Capital Region, our cars are delivred to Montreal from Halifax by Train, and then loaded on trucks from Montreal to our local dealers. My ETD is Apr. 24. So, should be getting the car a few days after that. As for the exhaust, it is not the Performance Exhaust, but the tip is chromed. As for the Kindeys, they are just like the IS, black vertical slats, and a chromed contour. |

Thanks! Guess I'll be ordering the PE then haha.
Interesting - I thought they would be completely blacked out like the BMW Performance kidneys are for the 135i. But the "is" kidneys still do look pretty good. |

Update: I drove a NEW 335is the other day - kidneys are completely blacked out from the factory.
I anticipate that our cars will be coming with this. |
