service light problems with gas cap

anyone have a solution or has a problem with the gas cap setting off the service light? what causes this and how do i get rid of it. i tried filling the gas tank all the way up making sure the gas cap clicks more than four times or so but soon after the light still goes off.

First, you should never 'top off' the gas tank on a car with evaporative emissions. It will flood the charcoal canister, causing damage to the system.

If the car is constantly detecting leaks in the system, you could have a leak or a bad DMTL unit.
