Oil temperature symbol but with squiggy lines underneath it?
Does anyone know what this symbol means? I had that flashing up on my car on Tuesday and I don't have my manual anywhere near me. Am I low on oil? Or coolant? Or is it windscreen wiper fluid? Appreciate your help!

wait, was it a oil can in the symbol or a thermometer? cause if it was a thermometer with squiggy lines and:
lights up in red: engine overheating actions: carefully bring the car to a stop, switch off the engine and allow it to cool down. do not open the hood, otherwise there would be a risk of injury by scalding. contact your bmw dealer. lights up in yellow: engine too hot actions: continue driving at more moderate speed so that the engine can cool down. have the engine checked without delay if the situation reoccurs. |
