Leather and dash dullness!!

There are so many different opinions/facts out there on how to treat leather but I am trying to figure out the best products to get (at a reasonable cost) in order to maintain the leather seats my 1er. My car is originally from las Vegas, it has Boston interior and it is slightly faded, dull looking. I am looking to revamp the look and feel of these seats they just feel crisp and stuff, not to the point of worry but enough to have me disgruntled. So I am currently looking at this product:

https://www.detailersdomain.com/mobile/home.asp?#page-116

Is This a decent product to rejuvenate the seats? If not, what do you guys recommend?

Next topic, dash pieces...

Ok so my dash pieces above the glove compartment and Directly underneath where the key fob goes is/are chipping, peeling or whatever you want to call it and I want to stop it before it becomes a cancer problem and spreads throughout the entire body panel.. Now for this one I have no opinion or clue how to control this so please help before its too late!!!

Thanks!'

I just bought the car, and picked up a new warranty... Do you think that would cover it?

Prep/Condition your leather with a Over-the-counter leather cleaner/conditioner.
Just a short trip to your local advance auto and you got a good solution to your problem (walmart is highly recommended as I know that they have both Mothers products and it's usually a lil cheaper there).

I recommend:
1.) Mothers VLR complete interior cleaner/detailer (vynil, leather, rubber).
2.) Mothers Leather cleaner/conditioner (leather care).

Try that for now and then move up to the professional mail order stuff. Anything from Detailers Domain is Great. Someone did a article about a year ago on here reviewing the Swissvax leather care treatment.

I'm not sure exactly which part on your car is peeling, but it seems like I had peeling on the exact same piece.
I looked into it, in case the dealership did not cover it for me, and the dash piece is only about $55. But thankfully my dealership covered it for me.
If you do have warranty, it should be covered. Take your car to your main dealership and ask them. If they refuse, find another dealership that will fix it for you. Worst case senario, fix it for ~$55

Awesome!! I will have to call the local dealership and see what they say, because these cars are too damn pretty to have something little like that ruin the overall look!

Oh and I think worst case scenario I can muster spending $55 to revamp the interior.

If you don't like the Zymol stuff then...forget my post about the Mothers stuff. Your seats must have been neglected.

Get this. http://www.colorplus.com/
The Softener. I use it for my 10/87 build E30 3 series. If you want I can provide pics of my 25 year old interior

These guys are experts. I've toured their facility a few years back & I highly recommend them.

I don't use their stuff on my E88 because it's still practically a new car and the seats don't need much more than a basic quick maintenance product used regularly (*I'll probably use the conditioner next year though).

The seats weren't super neglected but I can see trace evidence of almost streaking from a prior product...

Recent update:

I retried the Lexol conditioner and hand washed and hand applied the Lexol an they are 100x better than they were!! Softer, deeper Richer black, and just overall better. I treated only the two front seats to see the difference and it's truly night and day.

With all that being said, the Lexol is an good product... When applied properly, the interior has a much brighter glow and better feeling. I will continue to use this product until the bottle is gone then I will upgrade to a higher level of leather care given by then the car will have more miles and more use, thank you everyone for your help.

Sounds like a good plan you have. Lexol works.
Color+ , Swissvax, and many others I haven't mentioned are top level products that won't leave you dissapointed (unless applied or used incorrectly).

I use lexol and have always been happy with my results. Funny...I had a car detailer tell me to use the leather cleaner on brand new leather and then always once a year after. I use the conditioner every month or two and my seats look great. It takes a minute to spray the seats and then give them a wipe with a towel. Lexol does leave the seats a bit sticky for the first day then they are fine.

The key (in my opinion) is the leather conditioner products is not really too important. The frequency of use is important. I hear too many complaints about leather peeling or looking bad in all different types of cars and the owner claims he taken care of his leather ONCE a year. WTF! Once a year? Not good. If you use any descent product (Lexol, Mothers, Chemical guys etc) every month or two your leather should look good.

I'd highly recommend the Leatherique Prestine Clean and
Leatherique Rejuvenator. I've used this on a vinyl dash and doors along with leather and leatherette seats and it works great each time. If you check out this article (Leatherique How To by Todd Cooperider) on our Ask a Pro Blog it shows how it's used with great before and after pics.
