A buddy of mine did the same on his last gen 7'er. I didn't want to say anything because he's a very nice guy and has few other faults.
Luckily he realized the issue and de-badged the car recently. Problem solved.

I very rarely see M badges where they do not belong,
however the number of Mercedes Benz cars I see badged "AMG" is staggering...I'll never understand it.... At the very least Ray could have installed the M badge straight, was he ever a UAW member?
