I'm not sure, if you mean the first for Perth, who knows? My car was at the dealers on Monday and was registered on Friday. In my 'collection daze', I'm pretty sure Matt said that there were 4 or 5 cars ready that week. Apparently there were 4 lined up, all with sequential rego plates.

If you mean for Oz, yes .

Yeh that's what I meant.

Us easternes are getting close but we were told another couple of weeks... customs, then transport, then dealer del... hmmmm.

funny, a month on the boat to get here then three weeks to go from the port to the customer... anyways, good things come to those who wait I guess.

So that's it then...

- you get ribs with adaptive headlights, clear ones on non-adaptive cars.
- the inner lights don't light up to assist high beam (only the xenon outer ones operate for hi/low beam) on either adaptive or non-adaptive headlights.

I am sure I read somewhere that in other markets the inner ones do come on to assist the xenon hi beams and also when you flash your lights, as per most other xenon equipped cars (eg. my Discovery). And even on the 3 series.

This is why I find that the hi beam performance is under par compared to most other xenon equipped cars. Wonder why BMW did this.....:iono:

Yeah no problems - just need to think of a good location. I'm good for most weekdays though with school holidays coming up it might be a bit tight. If I think of any good locations I'll holler.......

I had previously thought of below the Narrows Bridge, on the south side with the City as a backdrop, maybe near the Old Mill is another. Somewhere on South Perth foreshore too, perhaps down the other end where the BBQs and car parks are?

Any other Perthites with ideas? A friend of mine is going to the Pinnacles this weekend, I have asked her to tell me what the roads are like. The last few kms on the access road used to be unsealed when I last went there though. I have a feeling it has changed a while ago, that would be a cool location.

I'm big into "conflict." Let me explain. Traditionally you see bridal pics shot in gardens, parks *yawn*(heck, mine were). Recently you've seen brides shot in locations such as down at the docks with rusty (Tosca!) ships in the backround, at scrapyards etc. The backrounds provide a "confict" between the purity and innocence of the subject and the harsh, raw grit of the backround.

Just an idea but I don't want to give Cozza or Kris too many ideas!!!

For more traditional locations I thought of the lighthouse at the end of North Mole, Freo - crikey, time it right we might even be able to get a WWL ship in the backround!!

What are the chances of getting into Pearce Air Base?? Any Air Force contacts? Love a couple of FA-18 hornets in the backround!

Gawd...reminds me of that stinky Humpback that washed up on Friday morning at Sorrento. I stopped by with my 8 yo daughter on the way to school - couldn't convince her to climb up and stand on the fluke like other kids were. Probably just as well because if she slipped and fell into the blubber I'd still be trying to air out the 135!!

Man, what a stench!!! I was more interested in spotting the White Pointers lurking nearby.

Congratulations SimonB. Your car looks beautiful. It's good to see that the headlight mystery has finally been answered too.
