Looking for drivers with the following mods, e85, CAI, intake spacer

Hi,

Looking for feedback on drivers using e85 with the aFe Throttle Body Spacer and an Injen Air Intake System.

Similar items are okay as long as listed.

Trying to figure out the following mods allow for e85 to run smoother, especially on cold start and of course WOT.

I am running a drop in aFe air filter with a tank filled 60-85% e85 and the PPK stage 1. Rough cold start, and sometimes slight laggy at WOT.

You need to be running tune (jb,cobb) to accomodate running e85. PPK (if thats all your running) will not adjust for fuel mixture when you start running e85.

Hey been running e85 for about a year now, had the JB4 but it had its own issues and is no long part of my build. Will be going Cobb soon.

More curious if anyone is running those breathing mods with e85 and are seeing decent mixture results.

Are you running an Inline or LPFP upgrade?

You are going to need at least an inline fuel pump for all that ethanol. In fact, at 85% you'll probably need a large lpfp replacement. Your stock lpfp cant keep up with fueling demands at WOT.

panel filter is fine. intake spacer is probably an expensive paperweight.

On the tune, your car is not accounting for the fuel mixture. You need a: piggyback unit that can accommodate the e85, a flash that was either written for a certain % mixture, or a custom flash for whatever you want to run.

Your biggest problem though is the pump.

Thanks, your recommendation is to up the pumping power.

This would work? $210

Since it sounds like your lpfp may be failing, and I'd expect it to be if you've been punishing it with 60-85% ethanol for a year; I would go ahead and swap out to his stage 2 pump.

You're going to need to flash your car to an E85 compatible map as well, so start thinking about Cobb if you don't want to go back to using the JB4.
