Thanks, I have the exotics tuning carbon fiber splitters. Fit and quality is top notch + it gives the car an oem look.

Wow, nice. Do they build 1ers down there, or do you still have to pay the 300% import tariff? I'm assuming $38k USD isn't just a direct conversion to about 260,000 Rand, is it?

Love the Scirroco, how was it to drive? They're all fwd, even the R, correct?

They do not build 1ers down here. Price wise, try $70k +-for the 135i new. We get ripped off here due to consumer demand but we have motorplan which covers all maintenance of the car for 5 years/100000km which is included in the price.

The Scirocco was a lovely car to drive. All of them including the R are fwd cars.

By the way, I bought mine in Jan 2011 and paid the equivalent of USD 74000. We get robbed here in South Africa and don't have an alternative, so if you want to drive a nice car, u got to have the benjamins...
