@DevilDog: Do you have Forum Tourette's? Just post one post with your responses not 4 different onese in a row.....and besides what the hell are you arguing? We have already pretty much established that the test car probably had more HP than quoted.

I don't believe Audi would spec the performance different for US TT-RS.
Imagine how all non-US customers would feel.

Wow....so with the awd and the 6spd manual and the 360hp 20 extra...forget the extra horse power. This will go a whole second quicker to 60 just with "DCT" haaaahaaaaaaaaaa oo no im sorry DSG. I dont care who the hell you are the DCT in a 135i is not launching our car a whole second faster 0 to 60 its like 4.7 I see some places, 4.8 and the manual is rated 4.8 some places...4.9 so this makes no sense at all.

If youre gonna throw numbers out then throw the right numbers. I am not saying it can do 3.6, im simply saying THAT 4.6 youre quoting isnt for THIS car. How about YOU read?

It will be a relative 'minor' 20HP bump, but it will be a different output than the Euro cars. It all has to do with market dynamics in the US, the competitors here, and the relative hunger of US yanks for MOAR POWAR!

So you "read" because its the same car even more power....forget your DSG there is no way a car is gonna go from being quick to FAST by DSG getting put in it. Its not like the euro has the added power like the us spec. So my whole point was the DSG's quicker shifts and little better throttle response. Im sure the added 20 horse in the manual would make up for that. I dont need to be moses to figure that one out.

Ummm they did because they were not offering the DSG. So that was there way of making the car feel the same performance wise as the DSG version. And everywhere I searched on the spaceship looking bubble It's doing 4.4 and 4.6 0to60. 5th gear's review, top gear, motor trend. Shall I go on.

Correct. But I cant imagine a DSG making a car feel like it has 100hp difference I highly doubt this. A whole second faster 0to60 face palm.

I NEVER said it makes a 1 sec difference, I just pointed out they are different models.

If you read the thread most people agreed/felt it was a ringer.

Looks like another completely stock 340 bhp TTRS s-tronic has done similar numbers to C&D.

Lots of conjecture about what the car will do when no one has even driven the manual version in a test setting that I know of.

Ok, the first proper acceleration video of a UK S-Tronic TTRS has just been put up on youtube, take from it what you like.

Movie maker times it 3.75s 0-60 and 8.9s 0-100 (of course there will be some speedo error, so 0-100 probably takes a bit longer if measured by gps)

That's why I said take from it what you like. I just thought people might like to see it as it is one of the first UK models.

It has been tested in Europe by AMS 0-100km/h in 3,9s, so while alot may be right in saying it may have more power than they say, it does it seems they are all like that

Oh and Movie maker is quite accurate at time measuring if you take what is on screen to be 100% accurate (which it isn't as I mentioned also)

Kinda hard to get accurate, but it looks like 4.0 or a bit less to 60.
It's not closer to 5sec, much closer to 4.
Man, that is fast.

If it's under rated so what?
I don't see why that's a problem for any owner. If it were slower than advertised or expected, then sure I'd be po'd, but if it's faster and more powerful even BETTER!
Some thought the 135i was under rated, as well other BMW's have been "accused" of being under rated. But again, so what?

I just don't see why a manufacturer would under rate a car they are selling. If it produces the power, then why not advertise it, especially if the performance is there.

It's just all marketing and to make it fit in their range without ruffling the feather's of people purchasing more expensive models.

Looking at the video's WLKSFTLY posted of his and the short time it gets from 100-160km/h and the way it zings at the top of the rev range compared to a z4 35is it wouldn't surprise me if his has a more muscular torque curve than in the published material but that just makes it even better

The Z4 35is goes 0-60 in 4.4, 1/4 in 13.0

As far as braking distance, the 2009 135i stopped in 158 feet.

I think it's the 0.97g skid pad number that's going to make the 1M special. Not sure where the 135i or Z4 35is are in comparison.
