Are Run Flat Tires doing ther job?

This is a car for sale on Ebay. I wonder why the tire came out of the rim. I don't know what happen, but it looks to me that the damage on the tire is worst than the rest of the car.

There's a lot of damage to the front. It's pretty clear that the tire was damaged in the accident.

Looked at the car on Ebay. They wanted 26k for buy it now. The bids are currently around 15k.

I honestly doubt that thing is salvagable, or worth fixing.

Only a fool would buy it.
