When I ordered mine, I was told 8-9 weeks on average.

I think 8-10 weeks is the norm.

Looking at a 2008 128i MT with sport package and xenons. Anything to look for as in problem areas? Thanks.

I ordered my 09 manual 128 with the sport package, xenons and red leather. That's it.
Of course what I've done to it since then is another matter

What have you added?

From what I'm reading (and since it's an NA engine) I'm assuming aside from a better drop-in filter you could leave the engine alone. Seems like the rear sway bar was a little dinky at 12mm.. what else?

Lots of info in the 128i N52 section. Read up in there and your mind will be blown away with the gains you can get from it.

The best mods I have done in order of impact:
- BMW Performance exhaust
- M3 front swaybar
- Eibach springs/Koni FSD shocks
- Cool Carbon brake pads

Did you buy it with that bumper? I didn't think M-Sport came till 2011 and isn't that when they changed the mirrors too?

Hopefully the NA six is around another year, as I'm getting finances in order and will be in a better position to buy in Q4.
My timeline appears in my signature. I got into production quickly because the dealer I finally ordered from (after talking to 4 or more) had a manufacturing slot for a 1 right away. Each dealership gets slots but their next available could be a month away. Making it and shipping it should be typical. I waited for PCD - which was tough but worth it.

I could have had mine in 6 weeks or a little less if I hadn't waited for PCD. I wouldn't accept a generic 8 or 9 week answer. I would ask specifically for the manufacturing slot they are essentially selling you. They know if they take the time to look. I had two dealerships quoting nearly identical prices so the manufacturing slot was the deciding factor for me.

No I didn't. It's a straightforward bolt on. Here's my DIY post.

Water pump likes to fail around 50k for that model year. Valves also can be noisy on '08s.

Skip the filter, not worth a thing.

DISA, tune, and headers are the big power gainers. Depending on what you go with you should be able to squeeze an extra 40-70hp from the engine. Lots of information in the N52 section.

Yeah, those 128s were hard to find with both Sport Package and MT.
That was the baseline BMW and step was often the only "option" I saw (if you can call that an option).
That 128 is a solid ride. Only option I'd need is sport package with the standard MT. Solid car at a good price.
