Not to get too off topic, but for those of us going 5+yrs and 50k+ miles before a DIY brake change, are we probably going to have problems getting the rotors off? I read a lot of posts with people running into frozen rotors. Is it even worth the effort to change brakes early, or premptively anti seize the rotors?

But seriously, that's not going to happen. Put one wheel bolt in at around 12 o'clock and hit the crap out of that rotor with a rubber mallet. |

I pulled the passengers side wheel off my Zuk last weekend because I mistakenly believed it was my path to the oil filter. It's really on the drivers side of the car. This was the first time the wheel had been off since late 2009 when I had new tires installed. The SUV has gone about 55K miles and it's over 4.5 years. Nothing special was done when the tires were installed on the aluminum wheels. I had to bump the edge of the tire with my hand to break the wheel loose from the rotor and rock it back and forth a little but it came off pretty easily. The Zuk is my first vehicle with aluminum wheels and this is the first time I've experienced this.
I've read reports of terrible difficulty but my experience is more of the "no big deal" variety. If I had been rotating my tires as I should have been, it wouldn't have been any difficulty at all, I believe.

How much coding do you do?
There was also another to disable the "brake fade compensation".
