Might as well be the 6
If these are real, why the hell would BMW change the hood and kidneys of the coupe from the sedan? I've never seen that done before. Might as well be a new 4 series or a mini-6. Whatever....

BMW AG wants to make a greater distinction between the coupes vs. sedans. No more "one sausage, different sizes". They had initially wanted to call the 3-coupe the 4 series, but decided to keep the 3-series namesake because of its heritage and name-recognition, eg. M3. So now, they call it a 3xx but without the "Ci" designation.

Overall I like the look of the new coupe, however I'm still undecided on the tail. IMO, I think they have the rear lights reversed. If anything, those 7 style lights would look better on the sedan, with those smaller more compact jewels on the coupe. I did a quick PS with some of the current spy pics floating around of the M3 for comparison. Personally, the coupe would look perfect with the sedan's tail lights. BMW was SO CLOSE

--i think the thin lights balance out the back a little better than e90 lights... theyre just like a clump of red floating around... the E92 lights seem to make aft of the thing look wider... and as pontiac grand prix widetrack says.... eyuh ahh ehh unah... wider is better |

I would say that all they had to do was make a two door out of the sedan.
Would have been sleek. This car isn't to shabby though. It looks a little more plain like an audi (don't get me wrong I like Audi) or a lexus. One thing I still don't get though is that ridiculous line form the edge of the headlights straight down to the edge of the foglight. Seems like a mold wasn't properly sanded. If one could replace the headlights, front bumper and hood from the sedan you may have a nice looking coupe. Oh wait then I'd have to replace the tailights and....etc etc... Well, it is a nice car overall and has its own presence that will be a nice canvas for customizing. Not really as excited as I was when I thought it would look more like a 2 door version of the sedan. Still, has its own merit I guess. |

First post, and probably a stupid one
For some reason I *really* love the E92 on the airport "spy" pictures. But on these official photo's, the E92 is just ok. Wondering how the car will look like when I see it with my own eyes. |
