Can you elaborate on the improvement? I recently got PSS's but have not installed them yet (trying to squeeze a bit more mileage out of the Hankooks before I toss them)... thanks!

I have these tires in 225 fronts and 255 rears. I also have an LSD.
Pros: Cheap Best bang for the buck great in the wet handle pretty well Cons: Not as "precise" as runflats. The stiff wall of the runflats really had a nice feelling when you did sudden turns. There's almost a slight delay in turning because of non-runflats. - Aren't as good in the twisties as the stock runflats were. They dont aspire as much confidence as my runflats did. If i had to do it again, and wasnt on a budget, I'd buy Dunlop Star specs or Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Yes I'm comparing a tire that is in a completely different league but overall V12's are great for their $.

Hmmm, just off the top of my head - I'd say the grip is the first thing I noticed. These things can make you fearless on corners. They are also very smooth. Not sure how they would compare to a dedicated track tire, but they're probably the best DD tire you can put on this car bar none. I sure hope they last couple of years (I have other wheels for winter). They cost a bundle, but still less than run craps.

Hey ptack, why does your forum garage have 6 BMW 135i's listed? lol
Another update on these tires, I found out today, that even with the DSC and DTC turned on, that these tires will break traction a lot easier in the rain than the stock RFT's. Happened 3 times on the same trip to the store, while trying to get around slower cars. The first time was a bit of an unexpected pucker moment, as I was able to fish-tail the car quite a bit. But now I come to expect it, just gotta be more careful. And this is all with my grandma-style driving! lol |

Just a friendly warning... My rebate just got denied because I bought a set of staggered tires and not a set of 4 tires of the same size. I tried to fight it but you have to log in through some online rebate company website or something that I never signed up for, got any information about, or even saw mentioned when I sent the rebate form. When I get back from vacation I'm going to try contacting tire rack. Fucking crooks...

Gill was the one that processed my 2 invoices, and sent me the rebate form. I would hit him up about that. I still haven't heard anything about the rebate. How did you hear that it got denied? It doesnt specify on their website that the staggered setup is exempt. |

I think Brian or someone else from tire rack helped me out but I made sure in my phone call that I'd get the rebate form. He said of course no problem, enjoy the tires. I got an email to the email I use to log into tire rack, and when I was on the website buying the tires it never let me know that they need to be all the same size.. It took about 6 weeks to hear back about my rebate.

V12's are very stout performers in the dry and wet, especially for the money - their biggest detractor is that they have a soft sidewall and *feel* loose, even though they are providing more grip than MANY more-pricey options.

I had these on 19s for about 200miles before selling my e90. I loved them. I'd give them a 9/10 for daily driving use.

Small update:
Just went back to stock for a dealership visit. No wheelspin in 2nd gear at all on these kooks. Very little wheelspin and very easy to "catch" in 1st gear. Way better than the run-craps. These are more than enough for cars with stock levels of power (maybe a bit more with exhaust and intake on). But damn the car feels soooo slow! In the turns, on a stock suspension, you're much more likely to take the turn slower due to the limits of the suspension than fear of losing grip with these tires. I have about 4-5K miles on them now, and they show no signs of losing any grip at all.

But for now, on the street, driving in rush hour every day and letting loose once in a while, but still often, I don't think I would have been MUCH happier given the money spent.

Had a set, they were ok but rode a little harder than normal. However, the performance side was really good. Run Conti DW's now, better comfort and just as good performance.
