It is here!!!

Received a call from my dealer late Friday that the car had arrived. Only problem was that it was too late for PDI, so I was at least able to visit it on Saturday (what a tease). Pictures do not do the fender flares and wheels justice...they are huge, and really make the car.

Picked up from the dealer Monday night, sadly it was raining on the way home. I am glad I chose the VO, it hides water spots well. The car definately feels more powerful than my 135i. The exhaust has a nice rumble to it and the ride is firm but not too rough.

I am very happy I was able to obtain my allocation and purchased the car . Thank you to Sewickley BMW for charging MSRP, and to the owner for giving me the allocation when he wanted the car for himself.

beauty, congrats.

amazing that in this picture it looks red!

Picking a color without seeing it is sooo risky, takes guts and faith to go VO. Kudos to you. I went AW for a bunch of reasons. But, when I arrived at the Welt during ED, the very first thing I saw was a VO in the early morning sunlight in Germany - breathtaking. It was red, and orange, and rusty, and on fire all at the same time. Look at how the front bumper (yellow/orange) is so different from roof mirrors. Its been written many times before, pix dont do this color justice.

My brother looks at me and says "dude, why didnt you get THIS color? Its awesome!" Coming from a very conservative guy.

Bottom line: ALL the colors rock - just in different ways.

Thanks everyone.

I have not done any autocross in the past, but may have to start with this car. I am just hoping the break in period goes by quick so I can actually rev the engine some.

I like the VO because it is more unique to the car, and the lighting does have a big effect on the color.
