Question Brake pads

So i am in the market for some new pads...tired of the dust and the squeeky noise which worsens with dust build up. I am a spirited driver, looking to do 1-3 track days a year. Heard good things about the Cool Carbon pads, which i am leaning towards. Do i need to replace all 4? any suggestions?

The OEM pads are fine for the street. Get a dedicated track pad for the track. Any combination street/track pad is going to be mediocre at both roles.

I just installed my cool carbons. They are not an equivalent to the OE pads. The cold performance is not as good as what i was expecting. The initial bite is unlike the OE pads. You tend to have to apply an inch or two more than OE to get the initial bite. It's not as easy to modulate compared to OE as well. The absolute braking power does not seem to suffer though.

You really need to make sure that you bed them in properly.
When I first installed the CC pads, it was a little sketchy because the pedal was very soft, but this was right after I installed them.

Once you follow the proper bedding procedure, you will noticed a huge difference. It's extremely important.
Read my instructions on the bedding in my write up:

Correct, bedding is the most important factor in proper pad performance.

Proper bedding procedures can be found here: http://www.coolcarbonperformance.com/bedding.html

I did the bedding procedures, but i think i need to do a few more bedding runs. I only did about 8 runs. I will give it a few more rounds of bedding runs and hopefully, it improves.

Sorry for my language.
Just to clarify, the noise-free coating goes on the rear of the pad.

Nothing goes on the pad surface - unless you want to quickly turn a 1 into a Prius.
