Common misconception. The upstate is the area in SC where the foothills of the blue ridge mountains are - the main city being Greenville, SC.
Clemson University and the Spartanburg BMW plant are both in the "upstate" area. |

Just took delivery of my SBM 135i friday. I live in Lexington, just outside of Columbia. I've only seen 1 1Series, a beige vert on the road. Very few of us around.

I drove all he way from Orlando to Bryson City NC and back (with overnight stops in Savannah and Asheville) last week without seeing a single 1er en route. Damn I love how rare this car is.

You should have been there on Sunday, six of us (3 -1235i's) did 200 miles in the mountains of SC & NC.
I absolutely love the 135i on the twisty mountain roads. A slow poke in front, no problem, all that torque makes for a very quick pass. |
