Request:DIY drilling new roundel holes on slek trunk
Anyone know the safest way to do this? also what size drill bit to use?

Can't help. But yikes! 3M tape that man. Save your expensive CF from drill holes. IMO...

Can't help with the drill bit size (which should be fairly easy to figure out once you have the roundel in hand), but make sure to use painters tape on both sides of the carbon fiber, use a brand new drill bit (i.e. very sharp), and place very little pressure on the bit. Let the drill bit cut slowly with the drill turning at a medium low speed. This should help the carbon fiber from fraying when the drill bit exits the back side. You may want to start by drilling a pilot hole with a very small bit (like a 1/64") so the final drill bit doesn't wander on you.

Did it yesterday drilled the holes out in minute,. stock grommet in and new badge on.
