considering grey poplar?

i must admit, i'm not entirely sold on it. it looks much greyer in the online configurator. anyway, my camera (cannon s400) makes it look almost entirely brown which is not accurate. having said that, in direct sunlight, it certainly does have a brownish tint to it. so, i'd highly recommend that you guys see it in person and not blindly order it.

that's pretty strange, I've seen it in person and really did not pick up any brown. I suppose it depends on lighting. But the configurator looks closer than that.

Anyone with gray poplar already want to chime in?

i had an opportunity to test drive one with grey poplar, def. not as brown as the picture but it really does have a brownish shade to it in the sun. It was enough to make me move to HG black

I agree...I have gray poplar and in normal light it looks darker. You would need to put your face pretty much up close to it to see some brown tint. The poplar goes well and provides a pleasing contrast to an all black interior.

I 10th that sentiment. That picture looks NOTHING like gray poplar. It looks fantastic in person. There arent many pictures that do it justice.

the window sticker on my car said gray poplar but it looks dark brown, especially in artificial light, just like the OP's pictures.

I think grey poplar will go great with black leatherette. Or do you guys think piano finish would go better with black leatherette?

Any color goes good with black leather or ette. I think the grey poplar looks great with black. But so does the gloss black. A hard choice.

Both will look good... I'd be inclined to go with the wood trim, to break the monotony of the black dashboard.

I love the grey poplar with Coral, but the grey poplar with Terra is really growing on me. The Terra is like a natural brown cow. Ever seen a red cow?

I went to the dealership today and saw both gray poplar and high gloss black in person. Both were paired with black leather. I liked the gloss black a little better. My concern would be how it holds up over time and if it collects dust.

Both are nice, but if I had seen the gloss black before I ordered I would have chosen it over the gray poplar when paired with a black interior.

I like the GP, in most light it's gray but it does have a slight golden brown hue. At least in the FL sun it does...

The GP is my fave out of the woods. I'm pretty sure that the wood in the OPs post is not GP...
