Chip - Scratch on my E82's bum

Was detailing the car and while doing so I removed the license plate. I immediately noticed that there was chip/scratch right were the left screw would be.

Looks to me that when my salesman put the plate on he must have overtightened the screw and thus damaged the paint. Now I know I can go to the dealership and see what comes of it. They have been great to me, but this will likely be a case of he said/she said.

Seeing that it (scratch) is hidden by the license plate, would a bit of touch-up paint be the most logical solution here?
