i found it a little weird talking about R&D on a bov that they are doing when they are just buying it and putting on with a flange and pipe.

Any ideas when this peice is going to be for sale? Also are you making the entire intercooler piping? Or just the intercooler and the charge pipe? If your making the entire set, are you still going to be including the quick clip on the intercooler?

the charge pipe etc is what they where working on for fittment etc, and coupling with the HPF FMIC. They product isnt in R&D anymore, it is waiting for production so that is what is holding things up. You have to realize, HPF holds the market for the E46 M3..so that is where all the $$$ comes from to fund the N54 project etc so know that you have to know that the E46 M3 development always comes 1st. (which is understandable). They are currently working on getting everything together for the N54. They just bought another lift which they will have a shop 135i to finish all projects etc in December.

Nice! I'm going to hold out for this. I'm so happy to hear they've finished R&D and into production stages.

Any idea on pricing if we purchase it all together?

you'll see most companies always use existing BOVs and just come up w/ their own piping, this also allows for the user to select diff type of BOVs. The R&D comes to which spring is better suited for the application and how the piping flows and connects to other components.

So the blow off valve would be useless on the stock turbo right ?
If so, what do I need to do before the BOV ?

This might be my Christmas present. I just tapped myself out on a new diffuser, so I should have some cash in hand by the time this is available.

though judging from there M3 kits....Holy Poo its Fast is more likely...Patience and I am sure we will see some absurdly well performing kits for the N54/N55, likely also expensive but you pay to play especially if you want quality.

Please be patient with us. We have lots going on. Here's what we were up to last weekend. We ran the fastest RWD lap in the Street / Tuner and Unlimited classes. We didn't win however due to poor tire selection at the finals.

i heard good and bad things of the synapse BOV.. please elaborate on selection of the Synapse valve.. is it because of the possitive pressure it releaves at all times which eleviates need for an intake filter?? And eliminates compressor surge? :P Issue is that even during a slight load or at crusing speeds it still bleeds that air.. at what psi does it decide to close and bulid pressure??

Thanks for the info. I did not know that. I will bring that up in the next product review meeting.

I'm really excited about this product coming to life Hopefully we don't have to wait much longer.

I also hope other BOV options are available too.
