E92 Roof Rack on E82

I know people have done E90 -> F30 with a small modification in the slots on the roof bars.

Do the E92 and E82 have the same mounting system? Can I just throw an E92 roof rack onto my car or will it be very tiring to fix and mod?

I guess the better question is...which racks WON'T fit? Looking at e60 racks too now...

I wanna say my rack was from a e92. Its been a few years so let me look at my rack next time I to my storage.
