Excuse me while I RAVE.

I have had my new 128i for a few days. Today I took it out for the entire day, driving the highway and city back streets.

Can I describe to how incredible this car is? It is simply a mind-blowing experience of calm and power mixed in perfect unison. The baby explodes in a controlled fashion and then floats on cushioned suspension.

I am not a car guy. I must confess I bought it largely because I think it's gorgeously designed and reliable. The fact it's an utter and complete joy to drive turned out to be a surprise I hadn't anticipated.

There are minor quibbles--door handles badly placed, can't see the speed because of the steering wheel, etc--but indeed these are minor. The shit eating grin I have had for three days is getting tired to maintain. <wink>

When someone advised me that the acceleration lag can be solved by switching to sport mode, I had yet another orgasm when I switched over. Just incredible. Around every corner is a new piece to discover in this car.

I really have no idea why people would buy a 3 series given the sheer ugliness of the current version of the car and the stunning design and primal growl of the 1.

I am sold, sold, sold on this car. I feel grateful to own it.
:respekt:

Try using the tilt steering if you have trouble seeing the speedometer. The height on the seat can also be adjusted if you need.

Wait until you step into a 135i then it's biased and senseless power for a non-M car.

Yea, it's tempting to upgrade but it's so damned needless. LOL.
