I was there at the event and i watched the 1M v8 up closely, it looked very agile and responsive, there were some other cars that understeered in some sections of the track especially where it was sandy, the 1M v8 did not, of course my words cannot be considered as a thorough review or indication of the car's capabilities but i wanted to share this with you as some people had doubts that the v8 might be heavier and affect the weight distribution of the car and cause understeer.

There's something wierd about this, maybe it's just the small screen/speaker on my phone, but the car was supposedly made from a 120, yet many of the pictures at the beginning of the post look just like a stock 1M and one of the vids even sounds like you can hear turbo spooling of the stock motor. I have no doubt the car is a V8 1M yet it seems like an engine transplant only into a 1M donor car?
Clarify please.

Original vehicle was a 120d so there is a turbo diesel in that car. the car was not a 1m donor.

Haters with real 1m's have their heads buried in the sand right about now. And they said it couldn't be done, that it shouldn't be done. Yet the 1m v8 still came home number one!

not true my friend, the v8 block is even lighter than the standard six, besides it is even shorter, making the weight disribution more concentrated towards the middle of the car than the six cylinder. the car has really much more power on the rear wheels than the standard 1m, that gives you the impression it has a heavier nose
