N55 JB3 feedback

Anyone on the forum running a burger tuning piggy back on a N55? Would love to look at one, ride along to see if it's worth the hassle. Looks like I'm keeping my car a little longer than I planned, so I'm looking for some tasteful mods to keep it interesting....

Did you end up getting the JB N55 tune? I just bought a car which supposedly has it and I'm trying to verify that's the case. I've tried checking to see if there are any sensors piggybacked but I can't exactly tell which ones I should be looking at.

Here's the installation instructions for the N55 JB3. This should help you find the sensors in question and figure out if you've got one or not.

I'm dropping in a JB4, BMW charge pipe and AFE ProDry stock replacement filter next weekend. I've got a 2011 135i DCT.

Happy for anyone to have a look or go for a spin once i'm done

Hi tkruger206. Are you doing the JB4 install yourself? I supposedly have the basic version and I want to upgrade to 4 but I need to verify I even have the basic version first. I 'think' i have some stuff currently piggybacked but it's hard for me to tell. I need to tear into it some more and see if I can find the jb connector I guess.

Yeah going to install myself, seems pretty easy after looking at the instructions on the Burger Motorsports web site.

Shadowline M Plate frames front and rear
No-Drill Front Plate Mount
BMS 4 LED Angle Eye Upgrade

Oil Change, Detail and a few more items.

CSL wheels and LCI tails to come...

How hard was it to get to the ECU box? I still need to dive in there and verify I have JB Stage 1 installed so I can order Stage 2.

Not as bad as I expected. You have to take out the cabin air filter and then the tray that sit's across the top of the engine bay at the firewall. Both are very easy.

Once that stuffs off then you can get right into the ECU box. I need to go back into mine to run the USB cable for updates to the JB4. Happy to help you or run through it with you some weekend.

Cool. I might try taking it apart this weekend and see what I can find. I don't want to order the JB upgrade until I confirm that I have ver 1.

Hey man I'm sure this post is old but I saw you have the JB4 and I was looking to get one but wasn't sure. You seem like you really have a handle on it and know a fair amount about it. I would PM you but I'm new to the forum and cant seem to figure out how to do it. I was wondering if you could give me a little first hand experience with it and possible could meet up on a weekend or afterwork week night? Any and all help would be awesome! Thanks

Hey man,
Let me know if you want some VMR CSL reps and a P3 Cars gauge for your car. I am a dealer and can hook you up with great prices! I have the gauge in stock.
