hey everyone,

im thinking to go with 22545R17 Bfgoodrich R1 tires for track, any suggestions or reviews about these tires? has anyone tried going on track with these?

just went through a set. amazing grip and good for 15-20 heat cycles. as with any r-comp they are sensitive to cold and you can't use them on a wet track. since you're from north I would think this would not be an ideal setup for you but if you can deal with all that then by all means go for it

alright thanks, did you have a staggered set up? or 4 same sizes. What were the sizes and if you didn't have staggered set up, was there major over-steering problem? THANKS!!

I was running square 245/40-17. with a staggered setup you understeer more than oversteer.

had no understeer with the square setup. although car did tend to oversteer a bit

You can also try the R1S (sprint compound) supposed to be similar to A6.

Also realize he is driving a 135i when giving that advice, a bit more power and torque in a less linear fashion. Our right foot management is a bit more lax.
