You certainly can over do it by putting on sway bars that are too big. The heavier the bar the less independent your suspension becomes. The left side is tied more to the right & vice versa. If you took it to the imaginary extreme & put on huge untwist-able bars, as soon as you drove over ground that wasn't completely flat you'd have at least one wheel in the air. Not the best for traction & grip! It's all about compromise. Knowing I was putting on lowered, heavier duty coils (coil-overs in my case), to flatten & control the ride anyway, I opted for the E92 M3 middle ground. Not sure if this is the best but it sure feels good.
