Arrow Ordered my X6 Xdrive35D

Got a phonecall from my dealer last saturday that i could come by on monday to have a look at the new X6, so i did, he had the X6 there for only 2 hours and i liked it very much.
On wednesday he send me an email with the only car he had available.
This is a Spacegrau X6 Xdrive35D (i live in the Netherlands, that why it is a diesel) with black interior and a lot of extras like 20inch 5-spoke wheels, sportspackage, etc.
I am very happy that it ordered the car and i am getting it somewhere in June, it will be the first X6 my dealer will deliver.
Can not wait !!!!!

Hello BMW fans...greetings from Croatia!
This is my first post here.
Last monday i have ordered a new BMW X6 35d,vermillion red, sport package, lot of extras like 21 inch alloy wheels 128 chrome...

However i have one question..what do you know about adaptive drive?
It is a very expensive in Europe, around 5500 euro..so i wonder is it nececery?
my dealer told me it much better to drive with it,but i am a salesman like he,so i understand if he wants to sell more.
bye!!!

Congratulations on your order...
Was faced with the same problem finally I skipped it, in Croatia however it may make sense, since there are a lot of (nice) curvy roads.
A good question, how is your X3 behaving without it ?
Do you think it is bending over to much in the curves ?
If you want to eliminate this take the option, otherwise you have plenty of money to make your wife happy
Hope this information helps...
From where in Croatia are you ?

Thanks Branko,i am from Osijek...maybe you have someone near in ex YU..

Well,I must say X3 is a great car for driving, and i didnot have any bedings over in the curve..however i have sport package and 18 inch wheels on x3.only problem are our roads that have more holes than in EU.

I thought Adaptive drive will make driving more comfortable in sense of suspension, something like air suspension in Mercedes...looks like i was wrong.

My is X6 will come in August because Craoatia has a smaller mountly quotes,so all of you should be happy if your car will come in June.

Bye!!

If you are concerned about suspension, make sure it has air suspension, in some countries it is standard in others you have to add it as an option.

The effect of adaptive drive is questionable in that respect. It does incorporate a control for the suspension, with a bottom you can select sport/comfort settings, most probably in the comfort settings you will have the same feel as the air suspension...

And yes I do have family in Croatia..

19 inch is standard on the X6

You can select All Season tyres (reduces top speed to 210) or go for a set of winter tyres..

20 inch is an option..

If you wonder about the design, have a look here :

– Light-alloy wheels V-spoke 257, 9 J x 19-inch, 255/50 R 19 runflat tyres
– Light-alloy wheels star-spoke 258 with mixed tyres,9 J x 19-inch with 255/50 R 19 runflat tyres at the front, 10 J x 19-inch with 285/45 R 19 runflat tyres at the rear
(only in conjunction with sports package)
– Light-alloy wheels Y-spoke 214 with mixed tyres, 10 J x 20-inch with 275/40 R 20 runflat tyres at the front, 11 J x 20-inch with 315/35 R20 runflat tyres at the rear
(only in conjunction with sports package)

Thank you again..

Yes,i know much about it..i have ordered sport package that includes star spoke wheels 258 19 inch and i have agreement with my dealer that they will change that tyres to winter tyres, because i have ordered for summer 21 inch model 128 chrome..

but my thinking was more about size of winter tyres..i think i will go for same size that are runflet tyres..i mean my problem is,should i take mixed size(front and rear) or equal?!

Usually take the smaller dimensions for winter tyres.
You will have more grip and reduce the risk of losing traction/grip, which is particularly bad on the back...

Hope this helps...
