Custom Exhaust in Boston Area?

I'm trying to decide on an aftermarket exhaust for my 335 coupe but there's no way I can decide just by listening to sound clips on line - they sound so similar to me as my laptop speakers just don't cut it. Is there anyone in the Boston area with an aftermarket exhaust that I can hear in person - perhaps take me for a short spin? I'm not too concerned with the brand just yet as I'm just trying to determine if any of them sound good enough for me to swap out my stock system. I'm actually about 20 miles north of Boston just off of Rt. 1.

Thanks!

...Jay

I got an e90 and I just got a magnaflow put on by Unique Custom Exhaust in Burlington and it sound very deep. He did stainless steel pipes, if you want a deep sound try magnaflow and to tell you Anthony did a great job a for a reasonable price.

+1 on that. He did my tips yesterday and they line up perfect and the charge was reasonable at 50-60 for regular welds and 75 for stainless welds. I'll definitely go back to him to get my Supersprint install.

That's pretty close to me. I'm right off the Lowell St. exit off Rt. 1 in Peabody. Maybe you, me, and The Legacy could meet up tomorrow night for a bit? I could head up that way - maybe we could meet at the 466 or the Topsfield Fair grounds. I could probably be there around 7:15 or 7:30 after my son's baseball game...

Legacy - where are you located?

I appreciate you guys offering to help!

Cool. Sat afternoon might work for me - just have to figure out what my kids' sports schedules are. Let me know what time you might be free... Thanks again!

If anyone's interested I have a TIG and I build custom 304 stainless exhausts. I will be doing one for a 335i but I don't know when she will want it.

Sounds interesting. What are the details? Mufflers, tips, cost, etc.?

Whatever you want for Mufflers and Tips, I would just want to know what sound and how loud you would want it then I can make a few recomendations, and there are alot of tips available. I would use any 304 Stainless tips that you would want, there are a few places that I would have you look. I would make new hangers, and have all of the flanges CNC lazercut using the stock gaskets as a pattern so it will bolt right up to the stock cats. or I could make a turbo-back exhaust using new cats.

I do this stuff on the side at my house I have a TIG and a garage, so I don't want to post any prices, but if you want 2.5 inch pipe it is about $15 a foot and about $20 per bend, so you can guestimate.

The only thing is a 325 w/ an exhaust is dif sounding with 335s. Its a bit deeper for 335s, thats if you were looking to hear what a 335 with an exhaust sounded like. I'll PM you, my sched is tough. Im going over seas soon

I was thinking on getting the DiMIsa tips. Just something until I decide on the full exhaust (waiting for Dinan full exhaust).

I am looking for a good shop, since I will be staring at the tips everytime I get into the car (I am neurotic like that).

Since I am looking at a Dinan flash, I was erring on the side of caution and waiting until they release the full exhaust.
