3. Is the silver color anodized or clearcoated or either way? Primed, Coat, Clearcoat.

4. What wheel width and offsets will be developed for staggered? Around 8-10mm more aggressive than OEM.

5. Will there be tire packages available? Yes.

6. What is the soonest the wheels will be available? 90 days from GB closing day.
Sounds good to me. If he'll do 18x8.5s he's got my money.

I am having that exact debate in my mind. Their 18's would have to be feather light too. Sometime I look at the PS 19s on the 1er and go and sometimes

Come to the dark side!! Honestly, if your lowering the car, 18's will look just like 19's.

18 inch is the way to go. 19's will be impractical in pothole ridden roads of most countries (unless you live in Germany).

I love aftermarket 19's and low profile tires in my neck of the woods. There's so many damn potholes it makes driving to work a slalom good time!

Hmmm - I'll keep an eye on this thread.

My 2 cents:

Size - keep in mind everybody, that the best overall TIRE choices are in 18". Having a 19" wheel and a more limited tire selection is not preferrable. If 18's will fit over the brakes, then that's the way to go. For this car, 18x8.5s that can be used in a square setup (same wheel on all 4 corners) is probably the way to go. Need about a 50 mm offset and use small spacers to adjust the locations.

Style - to me, both the VS7 and VS8 are nice looking wheels - I'd take whichever is stronger first, then lighter.

Color - I would prefer a 'chrome shadow' or 'black diamond' type finish over silver, but silver is fine for a 2nd option

Before we all jump on the band wagon, would the 18" wheels have the same concavity of the 19"? With different offset from the e90s and a smaller diameter, we might not get that crazy concaved look seen on the 3ers.

It's the offset that determines whether it's concave or not.

It's certainly one of the factors, but the wheel design has a lot to do with it as well.

When talking about offset numbers as high as these, you are talking about wheels that are going to have to have almost no lip (no deep dish type wheels). So wheels like the VS7 and VS8 that have the spokes coming out to the outer rim surface are the kinds of wheels that are going to work.

So, with this wheel design, what's the answer? And how would size play a role regarding the concave face? Or does size not matter?

well found this after looking the e90

19's

18's

not the best angles and not 100% sure on sizes but after eyeing it and comparing you can def. see the size diff, esp in tire.

Also went thru some of the posts and one guy def has 19s and one guy may have 18s he was going back and forth b/w the two

either way the 18s are def not as concave on the APW
much more concave on the silver but again bad angles to determine this

Even with a wheel that like the VS8 where the spokes go out to wheel lip, the offsets are only going to allow so much of a concave look - it'll be even worse with a wheel where the spokes have to curve back and attach to a lip away from the wheel edge. I suspect, or at least hope the VS8 would look something like the wheel below.

With the crazy offset number, the wheel may look pretty flat, but the MorrAlloy wheels are a style that will still look pretty good.

After looking at the pic below, my preference would be the VS8 and if silver was the only finish, wouldn't be the end of the world.
