Procede ready soon for 135i

We are happy to report that we will have a Procede for the 135i very soon. I expect to have it ready a week after the release date of the car. The results should be identical to what we get in the 335i so you can expect 390 hp with just the Procede. With even less weight, the 135i should be a rocket.

If you've been doing research on the E90 forums (and I know you have, I've seen your posts there) then you know this to be true.

Shiv and Co. are hard at work on various DP maps. The current debate revolves around catless vs. high-flow cat pipes.

I am confident that Vishnu will have solutions for both sets of customers.

I think this angle is way over used. Vishnu basically (I'm distilling their business model to the basics for the sake of argument) uses one piece of hardware with several different car/spec specific software programs to do their tuning.

Given those constraints, how much development do you expect them to do for any given vehicle? There will come a point, given the hardware and ECU restrictions, where they simply wont have any more to gain from attempting further development. When they find that point (for any car make/model) they will move on.

"But but but!", you will say, "Vishnu has upgraded their piggyback hardware in the past and seen gains from doing so!"

It is true that as time passes the hardware may improve, and even may be true that revising old programming for the new hardware may see power gains. At this point, though, you will need to remember the market. How many people picking up an Evo or a 335 (or whatever) several years into production (or even after the model refresh) are really going to be interested in the hardcore tuning that Vishnu provides? The enthusiast tuning market replaces cars as frequently as they replace condoms.

The owners who have kept their cars for 6+ years will of course love updates, but since it is "only" software, they will demand upgrades for free. Meanwhile Vishnu could be working on far more profitable upgrades to the 2012 155i (hook me up BMW, you know it would be awesome).

just making a valid concern about customer service.

jeeez

i know he needs to make money and needs to make other piggy backs for newer cars but its no reason to leave the mazada ppl behind along with the evo owners.

I will def. be going with a local tuner such as helix or going with dinan if i dont get to see any dynos

Porter: If Vishnu is one among only a select few reputable shops/alternatives, and there are many customers in the market, then they have power.

I always thought it's a good policy to go with the shop you're closest to. If you have problems it's always nice to be able to talk things over in person. And since they probably have a higher concentration of customers in their immediate vacinity (and if they don't they should go where they are), by bringing a stink to them it's more visible and you're more likely to see the attention you deserve.

And I know people who go to Vishnu. Shiv might be Shiv by everyone I know loves what they do.

Nothing against this particular vendor, but if 1addicts is going to allow commercial posters to use this board to directly promote their goods, there should be at least a seperate section for them. I love this place, and even though my hopes are low at this point that BMW is going to let me have a 123d here in the states, I still want to stick around and not see this place become the home of another tuner-war.

I say Ali has made his announcement. That's great. But now lock the thread and politely let Ali know that this site isn't for vendors to promote their goods --- but thanks for working on a product for the 1er.

Just one president's opinion.

Agreed. I don't want this place to turn into another E90post, that has obviously been bought out by one particular vendor to promote their product, at the expense of others.

Note: I have nothing against Vishnu, I think they make a great product! I just can't help but find it disturbing that nearly all of their competitors have been banned from E90post, and I don't want to see the same happen here.

Lets not get our parties all bunched up here. I'm glad they posted that here, because some of us don't give a rats ass about that other posting board. I know I don't.

Not when you have been driving a 13psi 9000rpm 400hp 2750 pound car, it's not.

I beg your pardon but please get your facts straight before you start posting misinformation. Fact is nearly all of the N54 tuning products are represented by sponsors on e90post - Procede, Dinan, SSTT, Active Autowerks, Helix. Take a look and and tell me otherwise.
