Apples to oranges. No way the R4 could seat 4 or carry golf clubs. And the 135i may still out perform it.
All the comparisons to Caymans and TTs humor me, along with a comparison to a mid-engined R4. The 1er is a car you can actually live with day-to-day, 12 months of the year. Compare the R4 to an M Z4 Coupe maybe... in another forum.

I had a bare bones 03 boxster mid engine. The car was not practical at all. My passenger seat was basically my trunk/ back seat. The trunk I had was useless because I had all my sports gear. I had to throw stuff out to put someone in my car at the time lol. Imagine putting all the stuff thats in you backseat if you keep you car messy to you passenger seat? lol thats what I thought.
