Anyone got the wholesale prices for Canada????

I know there's a sticky on top, but they look like MSRP prices to me.

i don't think wholesale prices are as transparent as it is in the U.S.

you'll need to use services like APA or CarCostCanada to get those

We all know how transparent BMW Canada is!

Did anyone read the Globe and Mail Chat with their president?? What a joke, it's no wonder why they keep telling us the a block heater cost us 10g, I really believe the President thinks they do!

I figured if someone could post up the Wholesale prices of the US cars someone in Canada had the "power" to put up the Canadian prices....anyone? hahah

Garage List
1999 VF BMW M3  [5.00]
2001 BMW M5  [0.00]
2008 135i  [5.00]
2003 M3  [3.10]
2011.75 BMW M3  [4.17]
2009 STi  [3.83]
Quite the differential between store price and wholesale in the US. Makes me wonder how negotiable BMW Canada is on their base price. Despite being $41,700, I'm wondering if I can talk them down a few G's

If we had wholesale price it would go a long way to helping you negotiate. If things work the way the use to when I was in the industry, I'm pretty sure all the dealers have a monthly meeting to "discuss" prices. So I doubt there's going to be too much room to move, at least in the short term.

I think you're going to be hard pressed to get a good deal on the 1er. That's why, at least at this stage, the 335i will have less of an all-in price disparity to the 135i than perhaps in a few years.

I was able to get 5% off MSRP for my E92 and a lease rate of 3.9%. This same dealer said that the discount on the 135i will be paltry, if any.

I have diplomat and tourist pricing, but they won't even negotiate on the 1. For 34,900 US with the Canadians only getting heated seats over the states I don't know if it's worth it to buy here. And why do we pay 1995 for freight and pdi when the states only pays 695 for delivery?

A lot of the disparity between Canadian and US freight and PDI prices has to do with the market size of the two countries. While I'm not going to justify the prices, because I think BMW Canada is gouging us, we in Canada tend to forget how much bigger the US market is. Just because we're close to the US doesn't mean we're the same.

With that said, BMW Canada could careless about the price difference between Canada and the US, the fact is we keep buying their cars from them. Like it has been mentioned before, unless we stop buying the cars nothing will change.

In terms of 1 discounts, I can't remember the last time I saw any manufacture offer big discounts on newly introduced cars. Just wait a bit if you want bigger discounts.

You need to be aware that U.S. 1ers are shipped in via container ships..
Ours are flown in individually on 747s..

Those $775 bones (it's not $695) we pay also includes shipping levies that the US Government charges for new cars being brought in.

How much of your $1995 goes towards the Canadian equivalent?
