Glad to hear some 17s fit. I wonder if my 17x8.5 K1s would fit? The 135 is looking better every day. Now go get it on a scale!

Terry, the Koseis should fit, without a problem. My DForce wheels replaced my Koseis and they had the same clearance on my e90.

I'm going to put my springs in on Sunday (if all goes well), and I'll mount a couple wheels on one side for you guys to see. Remember, they are not meant to look pretty (they're not bad). They are extremely lightweight racing wheels. Just like Terry's Koseis won't win any beauty contests.. Same deal.

I don't think the 135i will be winning many beauty contests anyway...

what is the offset of your K1s I just tried a set of SSR GT-7s 17X8.5 with a 38mm offset ant they fit pretty good. They also had 245 40 PS2s on them what a difference in handling.

Great G2, thanks. Also thanks white911 for the cargo test fit. I was thinking maybe a roof rack but if they will fit in back, great.
Amazing news if we can get 255s up front. Looking forward to your test drive. I have never used the Advan Neovas, just looked them up on tirerack, wow that is an astonishingly expensive tire, quite a bit more than R compounds. Are they really a value, eg outlast Rs to that degree?

Larry, did you turn the fronts from lock to lock steering when you had the 17x9/Advans mounted? The steering arm at full lock is a potential danger point as Alan (white911) shows in this photo.

So just to clarify, since I'll be getting wheels made up custom, what would work is a 17x9, with an offset of 36 to 38?

Saw Alan's post about the full lock clearance or lack thereof. I'm very curious to know how far from full lock they'll go. Yes you don't need full lock on the track, but you need to be able to drive through the paddock to get there...

This is good news.

Wow, so 17x9 et 36 with 255s !

17x8.5s will fit even easier

That certainly opens up a lot more options for wheels than what a lot of people (including me) originally thought.

I'd love to, but they are ugly (and I know they are much safer). This is my daily driver, and I'm not a club racer. I do lots of autocrosses, but less DEs.

Ah, I usually point mine to the grease marks on the hands, face and hair.
