I ordered my 125i last week but the dealer isn't able to tell me any information about its production date or anything. They say they're yet to find out whether or not they're being allocated any more vehicles for the next production run. Is this normal?

Got a call from the dealer today. My 135i will be built in Week 18 which is the end of April for delivery in late July.

Just did it now with the auto cargo. No joy like you. Tried both U and V as the forth letter and didn't come up. Tried RICHARD NEWTON's VIN and it came up. His car left Germany in mid March..

I am not concerned. As long as the car gets here in May, I am happy. I prefer a production that is as late as possible anyway.

I can't remember when I ordered my car...Jan? But because the actual sales person I normally deal with was on leave for a few weeks, I told the general manager (who I paid my deposit to) not to worry about it till Sarah gets back. So I think we didn't spec the car or put it into the system till late Feb I think. I got my VIN last week but I wasn't active in seeking it. I think they've had it for awhile.

LOL, I actually got a job offer yesterday, except that I turned it down as they would want me to start straight away, and I am adamant that I will be taking the second half of the year off to travel.

Might have to order it before I go on holidays so that I can come back to a brand new car

Yeah, the Advans are going on your old car. I need to get a couple of scratches fixed first though. And the sways are going to Guy Harding, so I'm almost back to a stock car

I don't think ours is earlier. It's different as ours is 72000 and his is 72050. Must be an option that is different. Richard, is yours an auto? Convertible perhaps? Something must be different...

Yes, I was a bit vague, but my VIN is WBAUC72050VF18445 car was completed 14/02/08 at Leipzig and should arrive in Aus on the good ship Talia this week. But unfortunately have been advised I cannot get the coupe until release date in mid May. Perhaps a few of you have coupes on the same ship. Ordered 135AW,Coral Red, Pro HIFI and Roof
