Strange Repeating Sound? - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

I noticed a weird sound from the car today. It almost sounded like a surging or mild buzzing sound and it would repeat at a constant interval. It sounded like it was coming from the engine.

I wonder if it was the water pump. I hadn't been driving the car hard.

When you park it? If I open the door (or trunk), I hear a mild buzzing noise, with the car off. I think it's the electric fuel pump prepping/priming the car.

That sound I know. This is happening when the engine is running.

mine too....I was told by the dealer it was the hi pressure fuel pump
