I'm not convinced they wouldn't tell me I made the choice they would have made... :iono:

The biggest influence for my purchase came from someone that has more time in a Bimmer than most (if not all) of the people on this board.

 You know we have to give you shit for something....

By the time this is over you will have the most built 135i that has gone through at least 1.5 motors.

Oh, I can take shit... but you're crazy if you think I'm going to ass-plode this motor! I may have spent $assrape on my Subie last year, but won't be doing that with the Bimmer... especially since a replacement will cost me 4x what it did for my STi!

And I'm hoping the wife likes the 1er enough that in a couple of years she'll just take it over and I'll move on to a daily driver + garage car scenario.

Clayton seems to think that I'll like the car enough that this won't happen... And I'm kind of hoping he's right!

You don't even need the chip, man... He's so old and slow he'll either snap his wrist on a powershift or forget to shift and be left in the dust. It's a win-win situation.

Jason,

They are holding your car up to put the new double secrete chip and software from your post march build. 1st you get an auto and now you get the ECU from BMW hell.

I'm not worried about the chip - work-arounds are already on the way... Plus, I don't plan on doing the chip right away anyway (keep in mind where my previous modding habits got me).

And I'm anxious to get my uber-quick shifting, 6-speed spanking STEP!
