Random ppl coming up to you asking questions?

Has anyone encounter this yet?

I actually had 3 guys come up to me (all at different time and date) asking me questions about my car. First one asked me how many horse power it has. Second one asked me how i like my car. Third one asked if it's the newest BMW and nodded his head a lot.

Anyone care to share their encounters with random strangers?

2. the 1 is pretty damn eye catching.

I didn't think it would draw so much attention, but man was i wrong.

I've got ppl come talk to me about the car randomly on 2 occasions as well. not to mention the gawkers.

At stop lights, at the gas station, in the parking lot at work, at kids' schools, at the store, at my son's baseball game... almost every day, everywhere I go! Reminds me of when I got the very first Porsche Boxster in 1997!

Kids ask about it, give thumbs up, say "cool", "sick". Guys love it, and even women love it... one thought it was "adorable, cute, and really beautiful". Most folks ask lots of questions, and don't know a lot about the car. A couple of guys and even some students did know a little about the car, though.

Some even want to look inside and start checking it out.

None of it bothers me a bit. I'm glad to share my enthusiasm for this car.

With so many people checking it out, I do wish it was a little cleaner, though. I haven't received my order from Griots Garage yet. Any day now. Random Orbital, clay, polish, wax, wheel cleaner, tire cleaner, glass cleaner, interior cleaner, lots of high-end towels... heck, the sales guy on the phone sold me freakin' everything! I hope it's good stuff. I might as well open up my own detail shop.

I got this a lot back when I got my first PT Cruiser in 2002 when they were still really rare. It was kind of fun at times, however other times it was kind of annoying. I guess we'll see if the 1er garners the same kind of attention after I get it.

I've had several people talk to me about the car. At one point I had 2 girls getting in my car telling me to take them for a ride. If I was younger and single that would have been like fishing w/ dynamite if you know what I mean.

I've had a lot of stop light lookers! People giving me thumbs up , asking me to pull up an lower my window to ask questions. A 330ic owner slammed on his breaks just to take a look... luckily there was no one behind him b/c they would have hit him!!

I was sitting in traffic yesterday and a guy in a C4S cab gave me props. I also had a guy in an E46 M3 weave in and out of traffic just to get behind me for a better look.

That always happen to me when I first got a MINI and then again once I got my rx8. Its always gonna happen when a car is this new still very rare to see on the road.

Grioits garage is good shit. I use all of their products except I use Klasse when I wax.
