Options for the rearseat storage bin?

I think the storage bin in the rerseat is a bit odd looking. Does anyone know if there is a replacement kit with a folding lid like the comparment in the rearseat of the E93 or some other good options?

Or would it even be possible to remove the bin and get the rearseat bottom repolstered with spare OEM leather.

The only replacement option that I know of is ordering a convertable. Maybe order the converable back seat portion later on.

It would be nice to have an armrest insert that fits in there. Or maybe some cup holders. Not that I plan to use the back seat much, but it would make the car appear more comfortable.

Ask AndyM. That's what he does for a living. Maybe he has a few ideas.

Thanks for the tip. After I get the car I may just do that. (depends on how much I hate it when I see it in person)
