I don’t know what you are asking, it is no different than with the screens out, just a bit brighter. :iono:

I have these on my car. I really like them. best of all IF I ever decide to take them out it is a ten second job. Driving at autobahn speeds with the windows down is no problem either for the screens to stay in place.

Driving at night with them is fine too. I really do not notice the "screen dot effect" except for cars that are stopped behind me at a traffic light. While driving they work well. I hardly IF ever have to dim my rear view mirror(i have a maunual mirror). So... if you are thinking about getting these I would give it a thumbs up from me!

Btw... I bought mine from my BMW dealer. You can find them on RealOEM's website under accesories.

So are these available thru BMWUSA (or LeatherZ)? Or is it a Europe-only accessory?

I got mine from Tischer! Great guys! http://is.gd/da5Xf

These screens are great! They don't even look like screens from the outside, just dark like a tint and definitely cut the sunlight on the inside. Easy to install, remove and store, they come with stylish BMW cases.

Thanks ennislaw. So it's $88.00 for the rear and $100 for both side windows?

You might want to send them an email to clarify. I screwed up and ordered only one of the side screens, then had to order the second.

Yes, that's the way it works - $88 shipped for the rear, $100 shipped for the sides. I went with just the rear for now, see how I like it.

And man, super-fast shipping.... Ordered on Wednesday, at my door on Friday!

Down here in this summer weather (hottest June on record), I need all three since I'm not able to garage.

Tischer - yes, great folks to deal with!

Have to give thumbs up to the sunshade. Really made a difference when I was driving with the sun at my back earlier today. Might spring for the sides, too.

I love the sunshades!

I have these, and I love them. They darken the rear of the car similar to tint, but is easily removable at any time. So I think it really looks great on the car. Also, it keeps the sun out of the rear of the car very much. Even without a front sunshade, I notice the overall temps in the car are lower. This should also protect the leather in the rear. It also makes it much harder to see in the rear of the car at night. As a street parker, I like keeping some of the privacy back there, even though I don't keep any items out in the car. Install in just a minute, and can be stored in the supplied bag. No flapping or anything weird. Only downside, as mentioned, it that it will basically defeat the auto dimming mirror. I notice it only on the side mirrors, since the lights from the back are greatly reduced by the shades themselves.

Tim

PS - Sorry for the crappy huge iPhone picture, but it shows the sunshades in the rear. Notice how you can barely see in the back.

I agree! In bright light and at a distance, it's difficult to tell these shades aren't a tint. It's only when one gets close can the weave of the screen be seen and even then the interior can't be viewed. From a distance and in summer bright light, it's nearly impossible to tell it's not tinted, much less see inside.

As said, they're easy to install, fit great and easy to remove and store (in included BWM bags). I also recommend the BMW sunshade for the windshield; it's a solid piece that folds up, definitely blocks the sun. Despite the expense, it's a nice quality sunshade that includes a vinyl storage bag. There are times when I remove it from the windshield and happen to touch the outside surface to discover it's painfully hot. If you live in the South, these shades are essential during the summer.
