Anyone want to order BMW OEM Performance Brake Rotors

$407 roughly shipped to your door. Let me know if you are interested, Dan@United is willing to get these our to us via USPS.

I doubt the local suppliers can match that, Andrew@BM can you match/better?

Thanks
K

kris, i was keen as mustard on it, but the whole debate about the actual performance benefits of doing this "upgrade" threw me. i did a fair bit of reading on it too. this car is giving me an education!

professor, there is only one 'real' benefit. And that is a weight saving..

Despite what people say, they are no noiser, they don't wear faster and don't really give you much if any of a performance advantage for braking.

They are for looks and weight..

$407 to your door ain't a bad price for two I think...

I've had cast drilled rotors on my previous car, they were OEM Porsche. Had no worries at all!

I sure am tempted given it isn't a lot of money, but would a saving of a few pounds on rotors help?

Well, this reduces the mass of the rotor, and overall unsprung weight but it wont reduce the mass of the calipers.

There is unsprung weight and there is unsprung weight. In this case, given where it is, I don't think it will make a massive difference. Wheels on the other hand would be a different story.

I am thinking why bother for me. When I get serious about it, I will put in serious brakes like a big fat AP or something...

joe, why do you want to test drive the same car so close to delivery?! test drive a 120i vert and then be pleasantly surprised when you get your own.
