Forgot seat heaters!!!

I just ordered a 128i vert and production is complete. It's sitting on the dock awaiting transport (day 5 of dock sitting). I ordered the premium and sport packages, but didn't realize that I wasn't getting the heated seats when I turned down the cold weather package!!

Anyone know if this can be added on at the dealer post production??

Bummer... It's possible to add them and there's usually a retrofit kit for them. You're probably better off bring the car to an upholsterer since they need to take the seats out and the leather/ette off of them.

It's going to cost a good bit more than the cost of the option though, unfortunately.

Wow, not sure that I would want the seats taken off, etc...
This is my first BMW and first convertible for that matter. Any consensus on whether or not the heated seats are a "must have" on a vert?

Garage List
If you are in SC, I would think it would be less of any issue than in the northern parts of the US. You may as well see if you think you want them once you get the car and go from there...

I will get you some pics. They're telling me first week of August.

Agree, wasn't even a combo I thought about until I saw one at the dealer, but was a 135i vert with nav. Lots of stuff I didn't want to pay for... so I ordered a cheaper version.
The interior is actually kind of a two tone, black floor, dash etc.. With SB seats and accents. It looks good. Got the moonlight black top.

Get an electric blanket or some snow pants. Cheaper.

Good point. I think I'll stop obsessing and just suck it up. Thanks for the input!

That's very ironic for me. We are moving to South Florida, so I left heated seats off and the dealer added them anyway by mistake.

Seat heaters are nice to have, but not really essential in South Carolina. I don't think you'll miss them the way I would.
