2 hrs away from picking it up...one problem - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

Going to pick up my 1er and have a limited time frame. Everything was going to plan and planned on picking it up by 2:30 or 3p. Now I just got called back from my CA and he tells me that there's technical problems with the NY state inpection and might not be able to have it ready.

AAAHHH!!!! So he said he'll get back to me and let me know if it's resolved. I only have a 2hr window (have clients to meet with by 4p and 5p) so I'm praying

. I'll let you guys and gals know what happens.

Only 2 hours, I think I was at the dealership for at least 3 and 1 hour of that was sitting and talk to my CA in the car about all the features and buttons.

I only wish I had your problem! I dont pick mine up for another 2-3 weeks!

I wouldn't rush delivery. Take as much time as you need to not only go over the car with a fine tooth comb, but test drive it for squeaks, rattles, vibrations etc. Let the salesman fully explain the car's features, warranties etc. Let it be an event, rather than an appointment.

Update: Everything worked out great and I got my beautiful new girlfriend. The feeling of seeing it in person and knowing "that's my car'" is overjoying! Now I feel like a full member. When I give it a good detail I'll be taking pics. Oh yeah, I will be changing my car in my avatar as well. Thanks all!

Take your time when picking up the car. Do not let them rush you. I have already talked to one member where he missed a dent on his bumper. Nothing major but it's almost impossible to have them fix that stuff unless you;

MAKE THEM DOCUMENT IT IN WRITING!
