Picked up 135i from Performance Center -- Hail Damage!!!!

You guys are not going to believe this...went and picked up my car on the 6th at the Performance Center in Spartanburg and when I went to take delivery, they told me there is some bad news...all of the cars up there (even all of the new cars at the factory) were hit by hail last Saturday. There was so much damage that management from Germany is flying over to inspect the cars. Well they are going to care of my 5 or so dents with PDR at the dealer next week.

Other than that...performance delivery was AWESOME!!!!!! I highly recommend it. The whole experience from hotel to food to driving and treatment was awesome!!!!

they can do wonders removing hail dents now days, as long as the paint did not chip/crack or the metal crease

how much time does a performance center delivery add to the final delivery date on a car?

My car also had hail damage when I picked up on the 6th. I wasn't too worried about it since BMW will be footing the bill. Nothing could ruin that day!

In my case it added about one week...totally worth it!!!! But it may be longer depending on other factors...

Guys, sorry to jump into this old thread...but I think you could help me.
My 2 month old car got hit by a hail storm on a parking garage roof. I have a small ding on the hood as a result. It is NOT a deep ding!
Not being a deep "ding", could that make it harder to remove!?

I'll be taking it to the BMW dealership ASAP (Thursday) to try to get this resolved 100%.

I don't care which way they repair it...but I want it gone. *Obviously PDR is the best option, and for a common ding...this should be the first option to repair this.

-Hopefully the end result results in me going home Happy.. feeling better than I do right now. That would be perfect.

Garage List
As long as the paint wasn't damaged, almost any dent can be removed with a good PDR. Sounds like yours isn't too bad from your description, so it should look new when it's done, and it won't cost too much either.

Maybe I'm a dickead but I would have refused delivery of the car.

I know alot about PDR and have no problems with it, but I wouldn't want the car. Also just so you know, BMWs insurance policy paid BMW thousands per car for depreciation. Then they spent a couple hundred bucks per car to fix it. They made a killing. I have worked for several dealerships where the enire lot was hit with hail. They make a killing off this shit.

If you lived closer to Jax I would recommend someone who performed PDR on one of my previous cars which was affected by a hit and run while I was at the movies and had multiple dents including one the size of my head lol...after he was done I couldn't tell the damage had been there to begin with. The problem you're describing can be easily fix and may not cost you more than 50-100 bucks if it's just one dent.

Yeah, It's just one ding. No bigger than a tic-tac.
I'm just super anxious to book an appointment and get it removed.
I'm going with Dent Wizard. They always do great!
This week I'll follow up with the outcome by Wed or so.
