I look forward to seeing the final outcome of these mods, they look very interesting  I'm especially keen to see how the final bonnet headlight treatment changes and hopefully 'beautifies' the front of the car a little - the current headlight design on the 1er makes it look like it's been startled or frightened LOL with such a huge round shaping to it...

There's a Japanese company (can't remember their name) that do a similar boot mod for the M3 as that shown above as well as a full body kit, which I must say looks awesome, coming from a Japanese tuner for a European car

Where are the hood lines going from the kidney grills all the way back? That's what would make the hood for me.

I have no problem doing more designs for you guys. I was intending to keep the original lines of the hood and just add on to them with complementary/parallel lines, but let me see what i can draft up

Also, these parts would be available in either Single Sided or Double Sided carbon fiber, but not in plastic or anything like that. Alll CF

How does your single-sided carbon fibre work?

The bottom has a thin layer of DVWP, the top is 100% CF.
The double sided is 100% CF top and bottom

Double Sided CF would be the lightest, Single Sided second lightest and DVWP the "heaviest" although that term is relative

if a non vented hood will be available as an option i think you will have no problem selling these.

No price point has been set yet, we need to finalize the design.

Nick,

Epoxy or polyester resins?

Autoclaved?

How are you going to protect the weave from UV?

Prepreg or hand layup?

How will the edges be finished?

Thanks

I would be down except my only concern is water getting all over the motor. Hurricane season here in Miami is a bitch. Any ideas so as to keep the water from splashing all over the engine? Rain rails perhaps?

And I agree that if the hood covered part of the headlight, it would look better. Like this pic:

So now we have:
-2 Vent Styles
-3 Eyelid Styles (one is without eyelids)

This makes a total of 6 possible combinations I passed 3rd grade math
Wow I can't believe you guys are taking someone else design and implementing it as your own. The guy that made that PS is Luis aka ///OSS, I know he would not be too happy with this, and neither would I, if this was my PS.

Then if that is the case, they should give credit where credit is due, and not just "use" someone else's design. If Jlevi and Vorsteiner want to create a hood, then let them make an original design. For all you know ///OSS is making this hood....

I just think it shows no creativity nor imagination to make a product based of someone else's vision.
